In the Grand Yangzhou we've first met,
A gallant figure, full of passion.
Your elegant demeanor, rare in this world,
I am deeply fascinated.
Your spirit bright, eyes burning like torches,
Your poetry flows from the heart.
The magnificent mountains and rivers,
The scenery is everywhere to be found,
The beauty of this land, so mesmerizing,
Yangzhou's literati and talented women,
Exhibit their talents to the fullest.
Mock the past, ridicule the present,
Through poetry and writing, they shine.
When wine is shared with kindred spirits,
What more could one ask for in life?
A smile from the heart, a toast together.
Your remarkable poetry, your influential words,
Shall be remembered for ages to come.
All worldly matters, transient as clouds,
Only poetic sentiments endure.
In the Grand Yangzhou we've first met,
The depth of our friendship unable to be fully expressed,
Your passion boundless, your truth difficult to convey.
